Ageus AigeuV Egée

Ageus and Ulysses consult the Oracle.

Ageus is an old friend of Ulysses and the father of Theseus. He is the only King who will not submit to King Minos, and because of this there is a degree of animosity between them.

In Lost in the Labyrinth, Ageus is concerned about the fate of Theseus, who went to see his fiancee, Ariadne, and has not returned. His concern is heightened by the fact that Ariadne is the daughter of King Minos and he fears that Minos is the perpetrator of foul play. In desperation he consults the Oracle, which tells him that Ulysses is the only one who can rescue his son, who is indeed a prisoner of Minos.
