Cronus is the Lord of Time. He is a minor god in the cosmos of Olympus and was exiled by the other gods a long time ago. In Cronus, Father of Time he saves Ulysses just as the Odyssey is about to be destroyed. His intention is not to rescue Ulysses however, but to keep him as a bargaining chip in order to win favour with the gods. Needless to say his plan falls through when Ulysses uses the clock that regulates time for the entire universe to escape.
