Thoas is the King of Lemnos. The Shark Men invaded Lemnos and set up
Trident-production facilities. The women of Lemnos were forced to
work in the Trident factory while the men lay around doing nothing.
Thoas wanted the women to be cared for and not treated as slaves but
the Council of Four, unwilling to risk a slow-down in production,
threw Thoas in prison. In Rebellion on Lemnos, Thoas's
daughter, Hipsipile, and Ulysses land on Lemnos intending to free the
women and end the Shark Men's occupation. Hipsipile frees Thoas from
his prison and together they convince the people of Lemnos that there
is a way to rid themselves of the Shark Men, if only they cooperate.
They lure the Shark Men into the factory with the intention of ejecting
it into space. A battle follows and Thoas is wounded. He dies,
however the battle is successfully won by the people of Lemnos and the
factory is ejected, freeing them from the slavery of the Shark Men.
