URICLAE: Pictured here with Ulysses and Nestor.
Uriclae is the only other senior named member of the Odyssey's crew.
She is the very attractive ship's chief navigator and number three
in the chain of command after Nestor.
Uriclae, like the other companions, falls under the curse of the
gods and does not play an active role for much of the series.
In Strange Meeting, set in ancient Greece, the Uriclae
portrayed in the ancient world is an old woman in contrast to
the young and attractive Uriclae of the thirty-first century.
Interestingly, the real Uriclae of Greek mythology is an elderly
lady who is the maidservant of Ulysses, so a certain amount of
artistic licence was taken in bringing her character into the
thirty-first century.
